San Mateo, CA, February 26, 2014 -Brekeke Software, developer of SIP software for enterprises and service providers, has today announced the release of a new version of Brekeke SIP Server. With this updated standard release (v3.3), Brekeke has enriched SIP communication media further by supporting multiple media streams in a single SIP session. Moreover, the upgrade in TLS support provides a notable improvement in connectivity with other TLS-supported devices and services in order to build a secure SIP system.
“Version 3.3 is the answer to the requirements that have not been fulfilled by any other SIP server products. Many people have been concerned about SIP security or couldn’t find a NAT traversal solution for multiple media streams, such as video conference calls. This version can be the answer to your entire ‘wish list,’” said Shinichi Mitsumata, Brekeke’s CTO. “We have focused our development on creating software with high reliability and interoperability, and now we are proud to say that our software can also help to create a secure SIP system for any type of communication,” added Mitsumata.
With greater availability of many high-quality SIP and media applications, there is an increasing demand to handle multiple media streams in a single session. To answer this market need, we have added multiple media stream NAT traversal to v3.3 of Brekeke SIP Server. With this update RTP packets are accurately relayed, even when each media stream has a different creation/release time, which is one of the biggest network traversal issues when using multiple media streams. This improvement enables manufacturers and service providers to create a seamless SIP platform with rich features for their application users.
Another critical SIP communication issue is security. With this update, the interoperability of TLS between Brekeke SIP Server and third-party SIP devices and services has been greatly improved. We’ve also updated Brekeke SIP Server’s TLS configuration to provide more settings and easier configuration with other products and services.
The Block List feature that we introduced to users in v3.2 has received a great deal of interest and use by our users, and now we have improved the feature even more in this update. With the protection provided by both signal encryption and self-defense, Brekeke SIP Server’s security features can provide the secure SIP communication platform that the market needs.
